We are delighted to announce that Unibet has been announced as the official betting partner for the two day Investec Derby horse racing festival, where the highlight is the Investec Derby itself, taking place on Saturday 3rd June.
The Investec Derby, first run in 1780, takes place on the first Saturday in every June from Epsom in Surrey and has long been recognised as one of the most prestigious horse races on the planet; indeed even Her Majesty the Queen has said:
“The Derby is the most famous event in the world’s racing calendar”
The partnership is initially a three-year agreement (2017-2019) and Unibet are actually the official betting partner for all the races that form the two day festival – starting on Friday 2nd and finishing on Saturday 3rd June.
This year the Investec Derby will boast a record minimum total prize fund of £1.5m, while we estimate that in excess of £60m will be wagered across the industry on this year’s race.
