#LuckIsNoCoincidence is an innovative new philosophy, delving into the research and data within sports, to help bettors place smarter bets.

“This is Unibet’s most significant investment in content ever,” reveals Global Content Manager, Ben Cove: “So it was important to focus on a concept that had never been done before.”

“Combining the three pillars of science, sports and betting with exclusive interviews from big name athletes and high profile presenters, we have created an informative and entertaining series, which analyses an array of factors that can contribute towards and determine sporting outcomes.”

The first episode in this series launched just before the official start of the 2016 European Championships and was titled “Check The Weather”, focusing on the role different weather conditions can play on a football match and its players. From endurance tests in several extreme conditions, to the role wind can play on a team’s performance, through to the stark reality of playing football on a cold, wet night in Stoke.

The first episode combined expert footballing insight with a betting analysis of how to take advantage of these weather conditions. A great success, the episode garnered 5 million views across all platforms in just 10 days!

At the helm of this series are our host presenters: YouTube sensations the F2 Freestylers (@F2Freestylers), and former England and Tottenham footballer-turned BBC broadcaster Jermaine Jenas (@JJenas8).

Joining them is a notable cast of sporting icons such as England goalkeeper Paul Robinson, Olympic legend Carl Lewis, Ex-Manchester United star Louis Saha, former England manager Glenn Hoddle and Denmark hero Brian Laudrup.

The second episode of #LuckIsNoCoincidence will focus on Penalty Pressure, and is set to be released on 24th June, just prior to the knock-out stages of Euro 2016, when penalty shootout will be at the forefront of the public consciousness.

With this in mind, we will be looking at the psychology and science behind penalty-taking as a selection of Premier League and international football stars delve deep into the science of the shootout, and reveal what makes the perfect penalty kick.

Whilst the first two episodes in the series are discussing the science behind football, the overarching campaign is not simply focused on one sport; the series is running through until September 2016, with episodes along the way analysing the importance of surfaces for tennis tournaments, coinciding with the US Open, as well as the psychology behind home-field advantage in athletics, to coincide with the 2016 Rio Olympics.

It was important, when creating this series, to be unique in our delivery and stand to out from the crowd, whilst at the same time embracing Unibet’s core values; friendly, passionate and expert.

We hope you enjoy the content, as we attempt to prove once and for all that luck, really is, no coincidence.
