Change to Revenue Share Deductions – FAQ’s

Q1. Why are you making this change?

At Kindred we have deducted third-party fees and charges as accurately as possible ahead of Net Revenue. This means that we have never been able to disclose the specifics of the calculation to you because the % and/or value of some of these fees and charges are confidential.

To provide improved visibility around deductions, we are introducing a 35% admin fee (10% in Australia) as of 1st August 2022.

Q2. What is the new deduction calculation?

Gross Win – (Country Tax + 35%/10% of Gross Win) – (transaction fees + bonuses + loyalty rewards + chargebacks) = Net Revenue

Q3. What is the current deduction calculation?

There is currently no deduction calculation that we can share, hence this change, but in our T&Cs we define Gross Revenue and Net Revenue as:

“Gross Revenue” means the value of the revenues generated by all customers referred by the Affiliate across all products, after the deductions of costs including but not limited to taxes, betting duties, third party commissions/fees for providing games and game software etc. Revenues generated would be equal to all (settled) bets less wins and in poker would be equal to the rake contributed through each qualified pot in cash ring games and/or the fees charged to customers to compete in poker tournaments. For the avoidance of doubt, any bet that is not accepted for a legitimate reason, at the sole discretion of the Company, shall not be considered a settled bet and shall not be included in the calculation of the Gross Revenue.

“Net Revenue” means the monthly Gross Revenue after the deduction of costs including but not limited to financial transaction fees, bonuses, loyalty rewards and charge backs.

Q4. How will Net Revenue be defined in your T&Cs after this change?

“Net Revenue” means the value of the revenues generated by all customers referred by the affiliate across all products after the deduction of costs including but not limited to (a) financial transaction fees, (b) bonuses, (c) loyalty rewards (d) charge backs, (e) 35% administration fee, with the exception of Australia where the administration fee will be 10% (f) country taxes and betting duties and (g) fraud costs.

Q5. Why is the Admin fee different in Australia?

Our Australian operations are run separately to our European operations and do not include Casino or Poker products.

Q6. Is this change being applied to France, the US and Ontario?

No, France, the US and Ontario are managed separately via different Affiliate platforms and data processes.

Q7. Which costs does this admin fee cover?

3rd party supplier licensing fees and costs associated with technology and development, legal, retention and reactivation marketing and player sustainability.

Q8. Are there more costs that are not included in this admin fee?

Yes: any deposit and withdrawal fees, chargebacks, Premiums (fixed sums) added or removed from player accounts and bonus costs.

These costs are already deducted, the introduction of this administration fee does not impact on this existing process.
